Het recital van sopraan Jeanine De Bique in de Stadsgehoorzaal was een ware sensatie. Nu keert ze terug met koor en orkest en zingt ze de mooiste aria’s van Purcell, Lully en Handel.

‘Eindeloze rijkdom aan kleur en nuances’ schrijft de pers over de uit Trinidad afkomstige sopraan Jeanine De Bique. Ze zingt in Carnegie Hall en in alle grote operahuizen, en werkte met Gustavo Dudamel, Ivan Fischer en Herbert Blomstedt. Haar recital in de Stadsgehoorzaal vorig seizoen met pianist Aaron Wajnberg was een ware sensatie. Daarom nodigen we haar opnieuw uit, deze keer met volledig koor en orkest. De zangers en instrumentalisten van B’Rock Orchestra en Vocal Consort zijn echte experts in het repertoire dat Jeanine uitzocht.
Heldinnen
Onder de noemer Heldinnen brengen ze de mooiste aria’s van Purcell, Lully en Handel. Van Purcells treurige maar adembenemende Lament uit Dido and Aeneas tot Handels opzwepende aria’s, met dit repertoire laat Jeanine weer een hele andere kant van zichzelf zien.

Soprano Jeanine De Bique’s recital at the Stadsgehoorzaal was a real sensation. Now she returns with choir and orchestra and sings the most beautiful arias by Purcell, Lully and Handel.

‘Endless wealth of color and nuances’ the press writes about Trinidadian-born soprano Jeanine De Bique. She sings at Carnegie Hall and in all the major opera houses, and has worked with Gustavo Dudamel, Ivan Fischer and Herbert Blomstedt. Her recital at the City Auditorium last season with pianist Aaron Wajnberg was a real sensation. Therefore, we invite her again, this time with a full choir and orchestra. The singers and instrumentalists of B’Rock Orchestra and Vocal Consort are true experts in the repertoire Janine selected.

Under the title Heroines, they perform the most beautiful arias by Purcell, Lully and Handel. From Purcell’s mournful but breathtaking Lament from Dido and Aeneas to Handel’s rousing arias, with this repertoire Jeanine shows yet another side of herself.
