Het recital van sopraan Jeanine de Bique in de Stadsgehoorzaal was een ware sensatie. Nu keert ze terug met koor en orkest en zingt ze de mooiste aria’s van Purcell, Lully en Handel.

‘Eindeloze rijkdom aan kleur en nuances’ schrijft de pers over de uit Trinidad afkomstige sopraan Jeanine de Bique. Ze zingt in Carnegie Hall en in alle grote operahuizen, en werkte met Gustavo Dudamel, Ivan Fischer en Herbert Blomstedt. Haar recital in de Stadsgehoorzaal vorig seizoen met pianist Aaron Wajnberg was een ware sensatie. Daarom nodigen we haar opnieuw uit, deze keer met volledig koor en orkest. De zangers en instrumentalisten van B’Rock Orchestra en Vocal Consort zijn echte experts in het repertoire dat Janine uitzocht.
Transformations
Onder de noemer Transformations brengen ze de mooiste aria’s van Purcell, Lully en Handel. Van Purcells treurige maar adembenemende Lament uit Dido and Aeneas tot Handels opzwepende aria’s uit de Messiah, met dit repertoire laat Jeanine weer een hele andere kant van zichzelf zien.
