Een uurtje klassiek op zaterdagmiddag door studenten van de Nederlandse conservatoria of de Nederlandse Strijkkwartet Academie. De bar is open en je mag je eigen hapjes meenemen, vers van de markt. Inclusief presentator die het publiek meeneemt in de verhalen achter de muziek!
Trombones in de spotlight
De tromboneklas van het Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag brengt een diverse groep jonge musici samen die een passie delen voor het instrument en het verkennen van de vele mogelijkheden ervan. Tijdens hun studie aan het conservatorium ontwikkelen studenten hun individuele artistieke identiteit, terwijl ze het belang leren kennen van samenwerking, luisteren en muzikale nieuwsgierigheid. Met repertoire uit de hele klassieke muziekgeschiedenis: de klas treedt regelmatig samen op.
Tijdens dit concert presenteert het ensemble onder leiding van trombonist Sebastiaan Kemner (winaar Nederlandse Muziekprijs 2021) een programma dat de expressieve kracht van de trombone laat horen. De jonge musici nemen het publiek mee langs werken van Steven Verhelst, Noelia Robles, Enrique Crespo en Giovanni Gabrieli: verwacht een concert met hedendaagse klanken en renaissancistische pracht.

An hour of classical music on Saturday afternoon performed by students from Dutch conservatories or the Dutch String Quartet Academy. The bar is open and you can bring your own snacks, fresh from the market. Includes a presenter who takes the audience on a journey through the stories behind the music!
Trombones in the spotlight
The trombone class of the Royal Conservatoire The Hague brings together a diverse group of young musicians who share a passion for the instrument and a desire to explore its many possibilities. Under the guidance of trombonist Sebastiaan Kemner (winner of the Dutch Music Prize) and the conservatoire’s trombone faculty, students develop their individual artistic identities while discovering the importance of collaboration, listening, and making surprising musical discoveries. Performing a repertoire that spans the history of classical music, the class performs concerts regularly.
In this performance, the ensemble presents a program that showcases the expressive power of the trombone. The young musicians take the audience on a journey through works by Steven Verhelst, Noelia Robles, Enrique Crespo, and Giovanni Gabrieli — promising a concert that blends contemporary sounds with Renaissance splendor.
