Een uurtje klassiek op zaterdagmiddag door studenten van de Nederlandse conservatoria of de Nederlandse Strijkkwartet Academie. De bar is open en je mag je eigen hapjes meenemen, vers van de markt. Inclusief presentator die het publiek meeneemt in de verhalen achter de muziek!
DE FALLA – reimagined
Dit jaar is het 150 jaar geleden dat de Spaanse componist Manuel de Falla (1876-1946) werd geboren. De invloedrijke componist wist als geen ander invloeden uit Spaanse volksmuziek te verwerken in zijn composities. In 1907 reisde hij naar Parijs, waar hij drie andere muzikale grootheden ontmoette: Ravel, Debussy en Stravinsky. Deze componisten kregen een vormende invloed op het latere werk van De Falla. Ter ere van dit jubileum spelen studenten van het Conservatorium van Amsterdam een zinderend programma rondom De Falla, met zijn klavecimbelconcert als basis, dat zowel op klavecimbel als op moderne piano uitgevoerd wordt. Ook schrijven drie jonge compositiestudenten nieuwe werken, geïnspireerd op de Spaanse componist. Een concert om niet te missen!

An hour of classical music on Saturday afternoon performed by students from Dutch conservatories or the Dutch String Quartet Academy. The bar is open and you can bring your own snacks, fresh from the market. Includes a presenter who takes the audience on a journey through the stories behind the music!

DE FALLA – reimagined
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Spanish composer Manuel de Falla (1876-1946). The influential composer knew better than anyone how to incorporate influences from Spanish folk music into his compositions. In 1907, he traveled to Paris, where he met three other musical greats: Ravel, Debussy, and Stravinsky. These composers had a formative influence on De Falla’s later work. In honor of this anniversary, students from the Amsterdam Conservatory are performing a thrilling program centered on De Falla, with his harpsichord concerto as the foundation, which will be performed on both harpsichord and modern piano. Additionally, three young composition students are writing new works inspired by the Spanish composer. A concert not to be missed!
