Pink Floyd Project keert terug in de theaters met een ode aan Animals, het tiende album van de legendarische Engelse rockband Pink Floyd. Wie kent niet de iconische hoes van Animals, met een opgeblazen varken tussen de schoorstenen van het Battersea Power Station in Londen?
Tijdens het concert speelt Pink Floyd Project een setlijst gebaseerd op de albums Animals en Wish You Were Here. Tijdens de In The Flesh tournee in 1977 gaf Pink Floyd drie uitverkochte concerten in het Sportpaleis Ahoy’ in Rotterdam, terwijl Animals de top van de albumlijst in Nederland bereikte.
Met klassiekers als Sheep en Dogs staat Animals bol van meeslepende muziek vol gitaar- en toetsensolo’s en niet te vergeten de maatschappijkritische teksten van Roger Waters, die 50 jaar na dato nog niets aan kracht hebben ingeboet.
Van het album Wish You Were Here is het titelnummer uitgegroeid tot een ware klassieker die al jarenlang hoog genoteerd staat in de Top 2000.
Om dicht bij de ziel van het origineel te blijven, maar ook de muziek van Pink Floyd in de huidige tijd te plaatsen werkt de groep samen met regisseur Aike Dirkzwager en muziekjournalist/Pink Floyd-biograaf Wouter Bessels.
Met de onbetwistbare sound, look and feel van een van de invloedrijkste bands aller tijden wordt dit concert verplichte kost voor Floyd-fans.

Pink Floyd Project returns to theaters with a tribute to Animals, the tenth album by the legendary English rock band Pink Floyd. Who doesn’t recognize the iconic cover of Animals, featuring an inflatable pig among the chimneys of London’s Battersea Power Station?
During the concert, Pink Floyd Project will perform a setlist based on the albums Animals and Wish You Were Here. During the In The Flesh tour in 1977, Pink Floyd played three sold-out concerts at the Ahoy’ Sports Palace in Rotterdam, while Animals reached the top of the album charts in the Netherlands.
With classics like “Sheep” and “Dogs,” Animals is packed with compelling music full of guitar and keyboard solos, not to mention Roger Waters’ socially critical lyrics, which have lost none of their power 50 years later.
From the album Wish You Were Here, the title track has become a true classic that has ranked high in the Top 2000 for years.
To stay true to the spirit of the original while also bringing Pink Floyd’s music into the present day, the group is collaborating with director Aike Dirkzwager and music journalist/Pink Floyd biographer Wouter Bessels.
With the unmistakable sound, look, and feel of one of the most influential bands of all time, this concert is a must-see for Floyd fans.
