Speciaal geselecteerde concerten, inclusief afterparty! Van klassieke muziek en jazz tot bossa nova en cross-over: laat je in een uurtje meenemen in een verrassend concert in de intieme Aalmarktzaal. Je drankje mag mee de zaal in en je dompelt je onder in een nieuwe muzikale ervaring, waarbij je dicht op de muziek en de muzikanten zit. Na afloop is de bar geopend en staat de DJ klaar in Café Caat, het theatercafé van de Stadsgehoorzaal. Of je nu met je partner of je vrienden komt (of jezelf meeneemt op solodate!): HEAR\\HERE staat garant voor een relaxt avondje cultuur en uitgaan, waarbij je nieuwe muziekgenres, muzikanten en acts ontdekt.
Borrowed Time: muziek voor 8 cello’s en zang
Wat is er mooier dan het warme, bronzen geluid van een cello? Het geluid van 8 cello’s! Cello Octet Amsterdam speelt Borrowed Time: een concert rondom de vraag hoe we in deze tijd goede voorouders kunnen zijn. We hebben de toekomst gekoloniseerd, we hebben ontgonnen wat bestemd is voor ongeboren generaties. Hoe kan de toekomst dichtbij voelen? Cello Octet Amsterdam nodigde zeven componist-vocalisten, waaronder Shishani, Arooj Aftab en Loraine James, uit om muziek te schrijven in deze context. Borrowed Time is een concert met live cello’s en verschillende, opgenomen stemmen uit het verleden, het heden en de toekomst. Het is een dialoog tussen de stemmen, als een gemeenschappelijke oefening in het luisteren naar andere generaties.

What is more beautiful than the warm, luscious sound of a cello? The sound of 8 cellos! Cello Octet Amsterdam presents Borrowed Time: a concert centered on the question of how we can be good ancestors in these times. We have colonized the future; we have cultivated what is destined for unborn generations. How can the future feel close? Cello Octet Amsterdam invited seven composer-vocalists, including Shishani, Arooj Aftab, and Loraine James, to write music within this context. Borrowed Time is a concert featuring live cellos and various recorded voices from the past, present, and future. It is a dialogue between the voices, like a shared exercise in listening to other generations.
